Starting from Yerevan we travel to Saghmosavank Monastery which was founded in 1215. The complex is famous for its manuscripts. There is a number of miniatures-illustrations.
The next destination is Armenian Alphabet Monument which is located in Artashavan village in Aragatsotn region, on the Western side of Mount Aragats. The complex was built in 2005, on the 1600th anniversary of the creation of Armenian alphabet.
The complex includes sculptures of 39 letters of Armenian alphabet. All the letters and statues are made of Armenian tufa. Then we continue to Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory (BAO) founded in 1946 by academician Victor Ambartsumian, who became the first director of the observatory. It is located on the southern side of the mount Aragats.
Besides the scientific purpose the observatory fulfils an informative activity as well organizing excursions and lectures for visitors.
In order to see the stars, we organize the tour to Byurakan in the evening time.
